Boundaries

I'm always fascinated by the unique ways organisms evolve to protect themselves.

Rabbits run, snails estivate, cats scratch.

Without that protection, they can't fully be who they are.

They can't be tender, beautiful, fragrant.

I wanted to highlight that the "negative" aspects of a being are what enable them to relax into their softness and fullness.

At some point, we all must grow into finding our own boundaries.

I pictured this going into the home of someone who is blossoming into their own self-protection and self-love.
